RACE RESULT is excited to announce the granting of EU and US patents on its active transponders. Launched in 2014, the RACE RESULT active timing technology has quickly proven itself worldwide and has developed into one of the most widespread solutions for top-class sporting events. “Even after more than seven years, our active transponders are still top-notch in sports timing. What is unique about our active technology and the patent? The timing algorithm runs in each transponder rather than the decoder. This, in combination with 2.4Ghz data transfer allows us to implement cool features like Store Mode, Repeat Mode and Tracking,“ says CTO Nikias Klohr, who is in charge of the active transponder development. With three transponder versions, ActiveBasic, ActivePro V2 and MotorKart, RACE RESULT meets the requirements for a great variety of sports and race formats. The transponders offer unique features for sports timing. Tracking Mode provides live split data and athletes can be easily followed along the race course using the RACE RESULT Track Boxes. In Store Mode the detection time from Loop Boxes can be saved on the transponder itself and transmitted at a later timing line. This allows for easy recording and transmission of remote starts or split points that do not have cellular coverage.
