In February this year, the Mumbai-based artiste released his single, Jab Koi Baat, a reprised version of the classic, originally sung in Mahesh Bhatt’s romantic thriller Jurm in 1990. Apart from being India’s no 1 Bollywood DJ, he is also ranked World no 59 on the DJ MAG Top 100 DJs list. However, his first production for a Hindi film was with 2016 sport-drama film, Azhar. Known for his mashups and remixes of Hindi songs, DJ Chetas debuted with his original Itna Sannata Kyu Hai in Golmaal Again (2017). He is the only Indian DJ with a mobile application promoting dance music to the masses.Chetas Shah, popularly known as DJ Chetas, is a pioneer of Bollywood Dance Music, a genre that wasn’t as popular a decade ago. He has produced mash ups for top Indian music artists, actors and filmmakers, such as Karan Johar, Salman Khan, Atif Aslam etc, and also film songs of Kapoor & Sons, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Cocktail etc. The next year, he was ranked at 33rd position in MAG list, improving his position in the list. Thus he became the first Bollywood DJ to get listed in top 100’s for Dj Mag.
He participated in DJ Mag competition 2015, where he was ranked 59 th. He has gained a global figure in the recent times. He owns immense talent to infuse different Bollywood songs of different moods to create a single amazing piece. Currently he is famous for his Bollywood mash ups and remixes and a popular DJ with huge fan following. An art possessed by very few artists across the world, life is just a mash up of DJs like him.
